Organisations working in all areas of social impact worldwide are invited to be part of the Chat for Impact Summit ‘22, a gathering of the global impact community in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Summit, hosted by Turn.io in partnership with WhatsApp, takes place on November 16 and 17, and features a dynamic and stimulating hybrid programme. Speakers and panellists will include technical experts in behaviour-change, key speakers from WhatsApp and Turn.io and founders of organisations from across the world that are already using chat in their respective communities will be part of the two-day event.
The Chat for Impact Summit ‘22 comes at a time when the world is facing many complex crises, from increased poverty to lack of access to education and healthcare, food insecurity, economic inequality, deepening humanitarian needs, increasing climate changes, gender inequality and more. Within this context, urgent access to information, services and tools that can advance the work of organisations working in social impact is key.
The Chat for Impact Summit ‘22 will provide an opportunity for the global impact community, using new technologies like chat, to gather and collectively share knowledge, opinions, best practice and key insights about how to use chat to help support efforts to solve the problems of our time.
The Chat for Impact Summit ’22 will celebrate the past year’s innovations and successes, foster new collaborations, and explore innovations for the future.
A highlight of the Summit will be showcasing the 20 impact organisations participating in the Chat for Impact 2022 Accelerator. In what will be a fascinating glimpse into how organisations use chat to scale their impact, the organisations will demonstrate their unique chat service and their theory of change to the community. They will also be presented with their final grant arising out of their participation in the Accelerator.
Having seen the innovative use of chat in health during the COVID-19 pandemic, humanitarian efforts for refugees, gender inclusivity, and, more recently, as a crisis response tool in the conflict in -Ukraine, the Chat for Impact Summit will celebrate the past year’s innovations and successes as well as foster new collaborations and explore new innovations for the future.
The Inaugural Chat for Impact Summit ‘22 is the culmination of a series of Chat for Impact bootcamps, webinars and an Accelerator which have been taking place throughout the year. An exciting hybrid event of in-person and virtual talks, panel discussions, technical workshops and social events, it aims to bring together the Chat for Impact Community from across the globe and across all sectors to connect, engage and collaborate.
