About the Accelerator

Across Africa and India, teachers are working hard to do more with less.
Classrooms are overcrowded, resources are stretched, and access to quality learning materials is uneven.
Many promising education tools never make it past the pilot stage, even though the need is urgent and the potential for scale is within reach.

With support from

AI
The Chat for Learning & AI Accelerator, led by Turn.io with support from the Gates Foundation and Anthropic
Is a global programme designed to fast-track the adoption of chat and AI-powered solutions that improve how students learn and teachers teach, especially in low-resource settings.
We’ll select five high-potential education organisations to design, test, and scale impactful digital learning services. More than just building tools, participants will create scalable, sustainable models that can strengthen education systems and improve learning outcomes at scale.

Powered by Turn.io’s proven chat platform and deep expertise in AI and learning design
The 6-month accelerator equips teams with the technology, mentorship, and support they need to succeed.
Participants will refine their learning models, test real-world chat solutions, and generate evidence of impact.
By the end of the programme, each organisation will have a stronger, AI-enhanced learning solution, backed by data, case studies, and a community of education innovators driving change across the Global South.

“At Darsel we’re trying to expand the reach and impact of EdTech by pushing the limits of what an educational chatbot can achieve. We’re thrilled to have Turn.io’s support as we pursue large-scale impact. The resources and advice we received during the Chat for Impact program have already led to educational impact, but they also left us more aware of and ready for the challenges and exciting opportunities that lie ahead."

“Education is where Chat and AI can have the most immediate, human impact. This accelerator isn’t about inventing new tools, it’s about empowering the ones that already reach learners and teachers every day. We believe effective education services should be simple, conversational, and accessible meeting educators and learners where they are, supporting existing education systems, and making them more efficient.”
